The house is very outdated and worn which I don't think really shows in the photos. The oven range hood was dirty and a piece was loose and dripping something so we took it off and cleaned it the best we could. The mantle in the kid's bunk room was broken with a sign saying not to hang on it but we were too scared to even come close to it so the kids didn't use the tv or anything down there. The manager was super attentive and answered my text one morning when we woke up to find the fireplace on and snacks we'd left near it had melted - we hadn't touched the fireplace remote but somehow it came on in the night while we slept. She walked us through how to turn off the fireplace which eased our concerns. The house was big enough for us and we liked the area but wish we'd realized just how far off the beaten path it was - grocery stores or anything other than the lake were a good 30 min drive each way which made it tough.
House functioally met our needs. Basement is pretty nice for kids too. However, the house is in need of some significant renovations. Appliances, decorations, deck need to be redone or replaced. Deck has flaking paints chips that are bad on bare feet. Dishwasher lower tray gets caught when you pull it out to unload. The stone staircase along the side of the house is dangerous and unstable. OUR SON SLIPPED AND FELL ON ONE OF THE UNSTABLE STONE STEPS AND CUT HIS KNEE. WE HAD TO TAKE HIM TO THE ER LATE AT NIGHT FOR STITCHES. Not ideal. Lighting down to the firepit is poor and difficult to see at night. The list goes on....
For the price this house is not worth it. If it was $100/night cheaper and faulty features were clearly listed then it might be better so renters have a clear picture of what they are getting.
I'm so sorry to hear of your experience. We immediately went to check out all that you brought to our attention. The appliances in this home aren't brand new, but within several years of new and ALL work and function very well. That dishwasher is a Samsung and the design is that the lower tray comes out, past the stop, so that it rests level on the door while loading. It does require that you lift the back of the tray while reinserting it into the dishwasher.
The stone steps on the side of the house are made of large "natural" stone, so they are not totally flat. There was one stone step on that path, about halfway down, that the supporting under earth had been washed out in our "downpour" of rains that occurred in early June, and that is being repaired this week.
The deck is structurally sound and it was gently power washed in May but the owners ran into a timing situation due to our weather, in getting it sanded and repainted before the summer season started...the rain kept coming through mid-June. That IS on their agenda, weather permitting, in early Autumn.
We are working with the owners to improve the lighting situation going down to the firepit.
This is a vacation lake home and each individual owner decorates their homes to their preferences.
My family(14 of us all together) stayed and had a great time. We played games, ate, went swimming, ate, went boating and fishing, ate, talked and laughed a lot. We concluded our time together with a do it ourselves Worship Service. All in all a wonderful time together. Allison was great to work with and the house met all of our needs. I recommend this place to anyone with a large group..
This place is breathtaking! The views even in the winter are gorgeous and will not disappoint. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and well decorated in the lake house theme. We loved this place for our wedding party with the boys downstairs in the bunk beds and the girls upstairs in the king sized rooms. Apart from one step onto the deck and the main floor shower, this was very accessible for wheelchairs and assisted walking devices. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a perfect Beaver Lake getaway for the family and friends.
Great house, incredible view! Having a bunk room for the kids downstairs was perfect and the fire pit was great!
Perfect lake get away for a family or group.
Esta bien lo que disfrutas es que las mañanas puedes mirar venados cerca de la casa.
Unit could use some updates, but was in a perfect location with a great view
As someone else said, a bit dated, but will definitely return. Having all the kids downstairs in their bunkhouse was sooooo amazing, so the adults could not hear them and enjoy themselves! Definitely bring your own food and groceries: a gas station with a grill is 15 minutes (grill closes at 6) nearest town 30 minutes. Rented a slip at nearest marina and was so easy to go boating and return! Lovely porch: drank lots of cups of coffee. Every streaming service for movies.
We had a fantastic time. It was everything we expected. A great place to gather with a large group and to get away from things for awhile. Keep up the good work. A definite keeper.
Beautiful view, great location. Nice for a pet-friendly stay. The foosball table and giant connect four game were fun, especially on a rainy day.
Loved my time here! Exactly what we all needed!
If a view is what you are aiming for, this is the place for you! Clean, comfy, and all the basic supplies you’ll need for a relaxing weekend. We couldn’t find a close-by grocery store, so make sure to pack and plan for a trip to Bentonville or Eureka Springs for supplies.
It’s a little hard to go get to but worth the view from patio. The Hammock and fire pit is a nice touch on a beautiful day. Plus the lake is within a mile. Perfect for a family.
If you are considering a lake house, this one is fantastic. It is clean, roomy, two living rooms, two kings, and the kids LOVED the bunk room - downstairs living room, bathroom, and two bunk beds with fulls under each twin. The view to the lake will not disappoint. The fire pit is one of the best our family has enjoyed, extra touches like the foo's ball table, games, movies, a Wi are great too. The hammock and swing chair are relaxing, and the kitchen is great becuase you can visit with your family while preparing meals, or talk to whoever is. This part of Arkansas is simply jaw dropping. The folks are friendly, endless activities for a wide range of interest. If we stayed at a hotel we would have paid A LOT more for the number of people and we would be visiting across a couple of beds. My family is picky and this house met everyone, from all ages, 5 star rating. Thank you Karen!!!
This place is absolutely beautiful! The view is breathtaking, the house was spotless and had everything we needed. The kids loved the bunk room downstairs!
Beautiful view, very well appointed.
If you want amazing scenic views, a quiet get away, and plenty of space to spread out, this is the place for for you. The drive through the mountains into the cabin looks like something out of a movie, you can see for miles around and you even get a nice view of the lake as you get closer to the cabin. The host and local stores are helpful in giving tips on things to do and where to pick up any items you may need. Set about 15 minutes from the closest highway, you get plenty of peace and quiet. Even though there are a few neighbors near it feels as secluded as you could want. The three floors of this cabin offered ample room for the crew of 10 we had with us. The top floor is a simple loft/ bedroom with a half bath attached, second floor is the main living area, kitchen, dining area, two large bedrooms, and a full bathroom. All over looking the lake through massive windows that cover the rear of the house. The bottom floor is a bunk room with another living area/ game room attached as well as a second full bath and laundry. This area also has ample windows for natural light and great views. The outdoor fire pit was one of our favorite parts of the trip, even in a steady snow fall it gave off more than enough heat to keep us outside soaking in all the beauty around us. I would highly recommend this location and we plan on returning to this cabin in the near future to spend more time in the incredible Beaver Lake area.
Lovely view!! Comfort for all. All the small touches were appreciated. We felt totally at home here!!
Had a great stay. Amazing view, perfect place to get away for a few days.
House is bit old and it is ok to stay
A great place to stay, especially for a large family gathering.
Fast response, great place and view. Enjoyed it!
Great views of the lake, convenient location. Check in and out was extremely easy, and hosts were responsive and helpful. Would for sure recommend!
We loved the house! I would highly recommend!
Amazing views, lots of room, and very close to the lake. Our family of 9 had plenty of space, and the kids loved the downstairs sleeping quarters and gameroom. We were able to take nice walks in the mornings and evenings and enjoyed many BBQ’s on the back deck. Be sure to bring in your food from Rogers as there are not any close grocery stores. We had a fantastic time, and the hosts were super helpful and responsive with any questions we had.
This house was perfect! Having 5 kids with us, the down stairs "bunk room" was a hit. The amenities on the property, hammock, swings and fire pit, not to mention the views...was a full lake vibe. We will be coming back and making this a yearly tradition!
If you are looking for a lake house that is close to the water or marina (literally like 7 minutes at 30 mph) with lake views, then this is the house for you. The views are amazing. You are so close to the marina for boating and other water fun as well. You are a short 20 minute drive to Rogers which has everything that you need or want and a short 40 minute drive to Eureka Springs. We loved everything about the property and we are already in the early stages of our next trip there.
