We really enjoyed our recent stay. This is an older lakeside home but we found it to be very comfortable and homey! We loved being just a few steps from the lake and the view from the deck is beautiful! The roads are very steep and curvy but worth it for the views. We saw lots of deer and even a pair of fawns! I would also recommend getting supplies and groceries before you come as grocery stores are not very close. We had easy day trips to both Rogers and Eureka Springs, where you will find great restaurants and fun things to do. We also spent an evening on the lake fishing with a family member and Beaver lake is absolutely gorgeous!! All questions were quickly answered by the very friendly host. Thanks again for a wonderful time!!!
Thank you for your kind review, Cindy. We really appreciate your feedback as well.
Great location, great host and plenty of amenities! It snowed the last night we were there and they offered us to check out late or even stay again if necessary to stay safe! Wonderful experience overall!
Berg's Nest is a great place. It was spotless! It is right on the lake, nice to sit on the patio's and look at the water. Please note that it is quite a drive to the Gas Station/food store/restaurant. There is quite a bit of sharp turns and steep hills. Rogers and Eureka Springs are close but still about 45 minutes. Bring your breakfast food as it is not easy to run for coffee. We did get a carry out breakfast from the Gas Station that was very good. It is about 20-25 minutes to this Gas Station. The Lost Bridge Park is nearby and nice to visit. We had a very nice dinner, the first night, in Rogers at Lucy's Diner on Walnut street. The second night we went to Crabby's Seafood on Interstate 49 Bentonville/Rogers, again excellent meal and service. We had an anniversary meal there. The last night there is a hidden Gem, Monte Ne Inn Chicken, Highway 94 Rogers, AR. Make a reservation! One Price all you can eat served family style, excellent service and great value, extremely nice people! Unfortunately, we were there when a Motorcycle ride weekend was going on and we really could not do much in Eureka Springs. We did go to the store that has the live bunnies give back change! But it was quite crowded in town for the end of September with Bikers. It takes about 3 hours to drive around the whole lake. There are a few places to stop and see some nice views.
Overall, we have never been to this part of the country. Very nice people, Great House-a little remote-I had no trouble on the lower level with using AT& T Wireless, sometimes on the top level I did. No problem with Maps on your phone to navigate!
Rogers has the Daisy Air Gun Museum ($2 from Christmas Story) we did that and Bentonville has the Walmart Museum (Free) we did that. Bentonville has a very nice downtown area. Along I-49 there are all the modern restaurant chains and stores!
Beautiful house, highly recommend Berg's Nest! Plenty of room, very clean and a very nice setting! There were only 2 of us but can easily sleep 7-10!
Lovely place to make family memories! We were able to enjoy the sunrise each morning and then enjoy the setting sun as the deer across the road came out of the trees to make their way home for the evening. Walking down to the water to swim and play was the perfect way to wear out the grandkids! The well stocked kitchen and the big family table made family meals easy to prepare and enjoy.
Great place to stay.
You can not beat this location, it is right on the water! We enjoyed sipping our coffee on the deck. Plenty of space to enjoy a weekend away.
Lovely house right on the water. Even cuter than the pictures! Great downstairs space for kids (although the AC is so cold downstairs I would recommend anyone staying downstairs should bringing sweats/hoodie. The AC is all on one unit and up and downstairs temps are very different). It was very clean. I love to take baths but am picky where I take them- the tubs were very clean! We had a great stay- lots of deer and birds to see. Rented a boat from Lost Bridge Marina (15 minute drive) which was a blast! We would definitely reserve this house in the future
Loved the location & lake. We enjoyed the swimming & fishing right outside the backdoor. We had a great time with our kids & grandkids. Would definitely stay here again.
Berg's Nest is a very lovely place to stay. The scenery is outstanding. The back of the house faces to the east and the lake providing a spectacular view in the mornings! Overall, we thought the house was great! DirecTV is provided with all the channels you could want. There is no internet service, so plan to relax and wind down while you are there. Cell service for our T-Mobile phones was weak, trees and location, but if you really need cell service, take a 2 mile drive back to rte 127 and you should be just fine.
It was an okay place. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.
Place was clean and right on the water!
This was such a homey little place. I felt like I was at my grandma's lake house. The bedroom set ups were perfect for our 2 families. We loved the great outdoor spaces plus how close we were to the water. The check in and out was so easy. Thank you!
