Bonnie & Clydes - 2 LAKEFRONT Homes- Wooded and Private

We had a rough arrival at Ellen’s home. The outside temperature was 104 and so was the inside upstairs of the house. The basement was nice and cool, so we knew something was wrong with the a/c. Someone from the rental company returned my call fairly quickly and arranged for a technician to come out 2 hours later. He was very acquainted with the a/c unit and filled it up with coolant. He also fixed a loud noise in one of the bedroom vents. The temperature was finally down to 85 after 6 hours and stayed down.
This is an older home with older equipment and amenities. Due to this the noise level in the house is quite high (older equipment like a/c, water pressure pump etc…).
The main house is spacious, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The double wide is also old, well equipped though and comfortable.
All in all, our group of 12 had a good time with plenty of space. Upgrading at least the a/c unit seems essential though.

This is our third stay at Bonnie and Clyde's for our family reunion. We really enjoy it there and will book again next time.

We had a great time overall and the property had plenty of space for our group of 4 families plus all the kids. There was definitely room for everyone to spread out comfortably, which was a huge plus for us.

The house and trailer are very original/older, so just be prepared for that going in. We did run into a few maintenance issues during our stay. The AC units struggled to stay cool and had to be serviced while we were there. The septic system was also difficult to flush at times. The garbage disposal was not working, which meant the kitchen sink and dishwasher were hard to use during our stay.

One thing to note is that although the property is listed as waterfront, the brush was very overgrown so you really couldn’t see the water. Also, I’d recommend bringing your own bath towels if possible, as the provided towels were pretty worn from heavy use.

Had a great stay for my sons Graduation weekend.

We enjoyed our stay with our family. It was very nice and peaceful.

Big enough to accommodate 21 people. Clean and fully equipped for cooking needs. Could use some updating.

The location is remote, which has its pros and cons. It is about 25 min + to get to anything, even a gas station. Access to the water is limited to a dock that is about a half mile away.

The main house and property are well kept, the house nicely furnished and spacious.

The second unit is a double wide mobile home that smells musty and a few of our family members were unable to stay there because of more sensitive respiratory systems/allergies.

Hosts had timely responses to our communication.

Plenty of room for all 11 of us! Loved proximity to lake! Host had excellent communication before and during our stay.

The main house was very well furnished and stocked. It really was peaceful and quiet. It is a remote location but we knew that going in to it so we were prepared for that. They were super responsive to any questions or concerns we had. It worked perfect for our large group. I believe a good time was had by everyone in our group.

Traveled with a 17 year old basketball team! Lots for the boys to do off the court. This house was perfect for us! Super responsive owner!!! If we play in the area again we will be back.

This was quite a drive to get to/from the store. The main house was nice, but the smaller mobile home wasn’t worth the money. The internet was very poor.

Great size for our large family. Allowed for space and proximity to the lake.
